Letter Of Moderation-Where the hell have we been?
Dan Beckmann, Moderator of Letters

So Where the Hell have we been? Maybe you’ve been asking that..but our evidence shows that a lot of people have been coming here anyway despite the fact that we really didn’t updated since last month. That’s a good thing as far as we’re concerned because basically some of you guyz are all so fixed on this site that it doesn’t really matter what or even if we put anything up here at all-you’ll still come. We’ll get to the stats shortly…
There is a plain and simple reason why there hasn’t been any updates and that’s because both Richard and I have been away from the immediate internet on summer breaks. You may have wondered why we didn’t tell anyone about this in advance, and you’re right, that may have been a nice or down right neighborly thing to do…well, if we would have told you then you might not have kept coming to see if we updated and then our hit chart would have went way down along with our puny little egos. We didn’t want that to happen so we thought we’d alert you when we resumed and consider this letter code red. Richard will return shortly, and I am now back in action and while I was away quite a pile of good stuff has accumulated indeed so expect a lot soon.
Ya know, a lot of people ask me: What the hell is this tomarken?…Who is he?..Where did you get the snazy name from? While these are all rather predictable questions and I might maybe have just hoped that these people would just go to the website to figure it out themselves, I can’t control it…every time I go out on one of my trips promoting the website I still get these same questions every damn time.
So to answer some of them-I will attempt to do that now. Our history section does a banner job of explaining where we came from<-well at least for the purpose of this website so I suggest you look there.
What are we? Who are we? Well after 3 solid months of operation lets take a look-see..shall we? We have published conservative banter, anarchical upheaval, liberal downheaval. We have been a heaven for the crazy man, the all-too logical man, occasionally even the wo-man. Most importantly, well at least according to the number of hits, we started the controversy surrounding John Tesh and the NBA on NBC dadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadadada-DO-da song and have even solved the mystery behind how man gets woman. All of these items, mind you, avoided that dastardly zero-sum gain<-and to be honest we didn't quite know whether this could really be done.
But there is still a lot more to do. We are going to expand more into art and music and more nouns that have yet to be discovered. We may tackle the problems and limitations of only communicating in English or any other standardized language-we may indeed create our very own! We may even consider starting that Lesson Plans area that is all the buzz al ‘round those dastardly Wall Street Brokerage firm janitorial services offices-one of our primary audiences. So stay the present course or possible take a short cut, for we shall bust into July with a vengence.
Below is our dirty laundry from May-our most prominent month. **Please note, that because of our system limitations, the last day of May, the 31st was not fully included in this listing and our record show that we recorded 792 hits that day. That number should be added to the total.
